Date Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    a pinch of salt
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. dates
    1 c. milk
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Mix ingredients, except brown sugar and boiling water; set aside.
    In a 13 x 9-inch pan, place the brown sugar and boiling water; stir until dissolved.
    Pour batter mixture onto first mixture.
    Do not stir.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes, or until done.
    Good served with whipped topping.
