Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    5 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/3 tsp. salt
    3 egg yolks, beaten
    3 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (3 1/2 oz.) can coconut
Preparation
    Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt; stir in egg yolks.
    Heat milk in saucepan.
    Add some of the hot milk to egg yolks and stir. Add this to the rest of the milk in saucepan with the coconut and cook until thick.
    Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
    Turn into baked pie shell and cover with meringue.
