Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening until light and fluffy.
Add eggs; beat well.
Add alternately sifted dry ingredients with buttermilk.
Fold in nuts.
Pour into two greased and floured loaf pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until toothpick comes out clean, about 30 to 35 minutes.
