Nonna Romana'S Best Amaretti - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. (1 1/2 c.) whole blanched almonds
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. egg white (from 1 large egg)
    1 to 2 tsp. water
    whole almonds (for decoration)
Preparation
    Set racks in upper and lower third of oven.
    Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
