California Cheese And Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. butter
1 c. onion, chopped
4 c. cooked white rice
2 c. sour cream
1 c. cream-style cottage cheese
1 large bay leaf, crumbled
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
3 (4 oz.) cans green chili
2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation

Grease 2-quart baking dish. In hot butter in large skillet, saut onions for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in rice, sour cream, cottage cheese, bay leaf, salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly. Lay half the rice mixture in baking dish, then chili, then grated cheese, etc. Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes. Makes 10 to 12 servings. Great with fried fish!
