Baked Onion Rings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. white onions, sliced
8 slices buttered toast
1/4 lb. American cheese, shredded
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 Tbsp. butter
paprika (optional)
Preparation

Cook onions in boiling salted water until tender; drain well. Place half of the toast in a baking dish.
Layer half of the onions and half of the cheese over toast.
Repeat layers.
Beat eggs with milk, salt and pepper.
Pour over cheese.
Dot with butter.
Sprinkle with paprika.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes or until set.
Yields 8 servings.
