Peppermint Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. thin red and white peppermint sticks
    2 c. milk
    2 c. heavy cream
Preparation
    Place candy between 2 sheets of waxed paper; crush with a rolling pin until very fine.
    Soak in the milk for 1 hour, stirring from time to time.
    Mix with the whipping cream.
    Pour into freezing trays; freeze.
