Almond Chocolate Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
9 oz. chocolate candy bar (Hershey)
1/2 c. slivered almonds
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugars together.
Add egg yolk, vanilla and flour.
Spread into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan (spreads thin).
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Break up chocolate bar and put on top immediately after removing pan from oven (it will melt).
Mash almonds into chocolate.
Cool.
Cut into bars.
Yield: 3 dozen.
