Fruit Cake(From 1879 Cookbook) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    18 eggs
    1 1/2 lb. flour
    1 1/2 lb. sugar
    1 1/2 lb. butter
    2 lb. raisins
    2 lb. currants
    1 1/2 lb. citron
    2 nutmegs
    1 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. cream of tartar in 1 c. milk
    2 lb. almonds
    2 Tbsp. cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. mace
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. ginger
    2 wine glasses wine
    1 wine glasses brandy
Preparation
    Let rise about 3 hours, then bake slowly.
    Let stand a good while after it is baked.
