Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. oleo
1/2 c. Crisco shortening
1 c. Steens syrup (No. 3 can, yellow)
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. hot water
Preparation
-
Beat egg.
Add sugar and blend.
Mix in oleo, shortening and Steens (only) syrup.
Stir until all ingredients are well mixed. Set aside.
