The Best Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. margarine
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3 c. oats (Quaker old-fashioned or quick, uncooked)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Beat together the margarine and sugars until light and fluffy.
Then beat in egg and vanilla.
Combine flour, baking soda, salt and spices.
Add to margarine mixture, mixing well.
Stir in the oats.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 9 minutes for a chewy cookie 10 to 11 minutes for a crisp cookie.
Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet.
