Buttery Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    1 c. butter or oleo
    2 c. raw or roasted peanuts
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Combine sugar, syrup and water in 3-quart saucepan. Cook and stir until sugar dissolves. When syrup boils, blend in butter. Stir frequently after mixture reaches 230\u00b0. Add nuts when temperature reaches 280\u00b0 and stir constantly until temperature reaches 305\u00b0. Remove from heat. Quickly stir in soda. Pour onto 2 cookie sheets or 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 2-inch pans. Loosen from pans as soon as possible. Break in pieces.
