Sophie'S Country Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    2/3 c. sugar
    5 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. butter or shortening
    1 2/3 c. milk
    3 eggs
    12 medium apples, peeled and grated (3 lb.)
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Use 11 x 16-inch pan.
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Add milk, butter and beaten eggs.
    Stir until soft dough is formed.
    Spread in greased pan.
    Put apples on top and sprinkle with crumb topping. Bake 45 minutes in 375\u00b0 oven.
