Nanny'S Stuffed Green Peppers - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 or 5 large green bell peppers, top cut out and cleaned (save top)
3 Tbsp. oil
2 or 3 cloves garlic, chopped
2 Tbsp. vinegar
oregano to taste
1 can anchovies
1/2 box raisins
bread
Preparation

In bowl combine garlic, oregano, raisins, anchovies, oil and vinegar.
Stuff each pepper with filling.
Place saved top on top of pepper.
Place peppers in large pan so they stay upright.
Pour a little oil, vinegar, sugar and water (approximately 1 to 2 inches) in pan.
Cover and bring to boil, then simmer until tender, approximately 2 to 3 hours.
Save juice to pour over peppers.
Dip bread in excess juice.
