Beef And Vegetable Stir-Fry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef round steak, sliced thin
    1 1/2 c. broccoli, cut into pieces
    3 medium carrots, sliced
    1 tsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    2 Tbsp. sherry (optional)
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, thawed
    1/2 c. water chestnuts
    1/2 c. bamboo shoots
Preparation
    Cook broccoli and carrots about 2 minutes in boiling water; drain.
    Mix cornstarch, salt, sugar, soy sauce and sherry; set aside.
    Add oil to wok or pan over high heat and stir-fry broccoli, carrots and onions until crisp and tender.
    Remove from wok.
    Add beef and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
    Remove beef.
