Glorious Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sifted cake flour
    1 lb. butter
    1 lb. powdered sugar
    6 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add vanilla; blend. Add flour gradually.
    Pour into a buttered, lightly floured 10-inch tube pan.
    Bake in a 325\u00b0 gas oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until a cake tester inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool in pan about 10 minutes before removing to cake rack. Serve with fresh fruit and whipped cream.
