Four Bean Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can cut green beans, drained
    1 can wax beans, drained
    1 can red kidney beans, drained
    1 can garbanzo beans (chickpeas), drained
    1/2 c. chopped green peppers
    2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
    1/4 c. sugar
    2/3 c. vinegar
    1/3 c. salad oil
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Combine beans in a large bowl.
    In a quart jar, combine the remaining ingredients.
    Cover and shake together thoroughly.
    Pour over beans.
    Mix together gently.
    Chill overnight or for several hours.
    Add to tossed salads or use as a side dish.
