Ingredients

1 can sliced beets
3 Tbsp. sugar
4 Tbsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. ground allspice
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 Tbsp. water
Preparation

Mix juice from beets, sugar, vinegar and allspice.
Bring to a boil.
Mix water and cornstarch together.
Add to mixture.
Let simmer 5 minutes.
Add beets; simmer 10 to 15 minutes longer.
