Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. chopped clams
    1 qt. water and clam juice
    1 qt. canned tomatoes, chopped
    2 slices (2 x 1-inch) fatback
    1 large onion, chopped
    4 small potatoes, chopped finely
    salt, hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce to taste
Preparation
    Use a heavy pot. Fry fatback and saute onion.
    Add liquid, tomatoes, potatoes and seasoning.
    Cook until potatoes are done, then add clams and continue to cook for 10 to 15 minutes. Serves 8.
    (For larger amounts, increase proportionately.)
