Turkey Chili - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. lean ground turkey
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
3/4 c. kidney beans, cooked
3 medium tomatoes, peeled and chopped
1 (16 oz.) can no-salt tomato paste
1/8 tsp. ground red pepper (optional)
1/2 c. chopped onions
1 clove minced garlic
1 c. water
1 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
Preparation

In a large, heavy pot, brown turkey; pour off any excess fat. Add onions, green pepper and garlic; cook 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add beans, water, tomatoes, tomato paste, chili powder, oregano, cumin and red pepper.
Cover; simmer for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Serve with cornbread.
