Mala'S Chicken Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
    1 small onion, quartered
    1 bunch green onions
    1 c. chopped pecans or almond slivers
    1 orange, quartered
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 small cans mandarin oranges, drained
    1/2 to 3/4 c. margarine
Preparation
    Boil chicken breasts with quartered orange and quartered onion. Salt and pepper water to taste.
    Meanwhile, chop green onions. Drain oranges and combine in bowl with nuts and mayo.
    (Begin with 1/2 cup; add more when chicken is added.)
    Remove chicken.
    Cool and chop into bite-sized pieces.
    Add to mayo mixture.
    Chill for several hours or overnight.
    Serve with crackers.
