Mud Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1/3 c. cocoa
1 c. nuts, chopped
1/4 c. fudge sauce or fudge ice cream topping
1 c. chilled whipped cream
2 Tbsp. powdered sugar
Preparation

Heat the oven to 325\u00b0.
Grease a round pan, 8 x 1 1/2-inch, with shortening.
Mix granulated sugar, margarine, vanilla, salt, eggs, flour and cocoa in a medium bowl with a wooden spoon.
Stir in nuts; pour into a pan.
Bake until pick inserted half way between center and edge comes off clean, about 25 minutes. Immediately pick holes in the pie with a wooden pick.
Spread fudge sauce over top and cool completely.
