Danish Red Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium red cabbage
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. butter
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar or lemon juice
1/4 c. red currant jelly
Preparation

Remove outer leaves and core from cabbage.
Shred cabbage very fine.
Melt butter in large pot.
Add cabbage, vinegar
or lemon juice, salt and sugar; stir to distribute.
Cover and cook over low heat until cabbage is tender, about 20 minutes.
Stir in jelly if desired.
Serve hot.
