Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. all-bran cereal
1 c. milk
generous 1/3 c. molasses
1 egg
1/3 c. shortening or vegetable oil
Preparation

Add milk and molasses to bran and let stand 2 minutes; add egg and shortening and beat well.
Sift dry ingredients together and add, stirring only until combined.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for about 25 minutes.
Serve warm.
Makes 12 (2 1/2-inch) muffins.
