Refrigerator Rolls(Yeast Bread) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/4 to 3 1/2 c. flour
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/4 c. lukewarm water
    1/4 c. shortening
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. hot water
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Soften yeast in lukewarm water.
    Pour hot water over sugar, salt and shortening.
    Cool to lukewarm.
    Add 1 1/2 cups of flour and mix thoroughly.
    Stir in softened yeast, half of remaining flour and egg.
    Beat thoroughly.
    Add enough flour to form a soft dough.
    Turn out on a lightly floured board.
    Let rest 5 to 10 minutes.
    Knead until smooth and elastic.
    Place in greased bowl, turning once to grease top.
    Cover and let rise until doubled in bulk.
    Punch down.
    Grease top.
    Cover with damp towel and refrigerate.
    When ready to bake, shape into rolls and place in well-greased pan.
    Let rise until doubled.
    Bake in hot oven (425\u00b0) for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Yields 2 dozen rolls.
