Berry Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. fresh frozen or canned blueberries, drained
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    2 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Combine berries with 1/2 cup sugar, lemon juice, nutmeg and margarine.
    Place into a greased boiler.
    In a separate bowl, work shortening into sifted dry ingredients until mixture looks like fine cornmeal.
    Mix together egg, milk and cinnamon; stir into dry ingredients using a fork.
    Spread batter over berries.
    Add 1 cup of water to a 3-quart saucepan.
    Cover.
    Cook over medium heat and when vapor appears around the edge of the double boiler, lower heat and cook 35 minutes.
    Serve cobbler hot, topped with fruit, cream, whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
    Serves 6.
