Popcorn Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. corn syrup
    2/3 c. water
    2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/8 tsp. soda
    1/4 cube butter
    1/2 lb. popcorn
Preparation
    Pop corn.
    Combine sugar, syrup, water and vinegar.
    Heat to boil.
    Add cream of tartar.
    Boil until it spins a thread in cold water (soft crack).
    Remove from fire.
    Add butter, soda and flavoring.
    Stir just enough to mix and pour over freshly popped corn.
    Form into balls.
    Grease hands with butter to do this.
