Black Walnut Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter
3 c. sugar
5 tsp. rum flavoring
3 c. flour
1 c. half and half cream
1/2 c. Crisco
5 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. black walnuts
Preparation

Cream butter, shortening and sugar until light and creamy. Add eggs, one at a time.
Beat after each egg is added.
Add flavorings; beat well.
Add dry ingredients alternately with cream.
Lightly flour walnuts; fold into mixture.
Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 80 minutes in a 325\u00b0 oven.
