Lenten Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 qt. water
    salt to taste
    8 potatoes, cut in small pieces
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped carrots
    fresh parsley for taste and color
    1 stick margarine
Preparation
    Cook ingredients until boiling, then make a
    thickening of Coffee-mate and water and flour.
    Add slowly to soup.
    Cook 1 hour, then add instant potato flakes until soup is as thick as you like.
