Candied Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

3 sweet potatoes
1 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
Preparation

Peel potatoes; slice and put in a heavy pan of water.
Cover with the salt.
Let stand 30 minutes.
Pour water off; almost cover with fresh water.
Add the sugar.
Cook until it turns light in color and syrup is done.
