Apple Pie Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. cornstarch
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 tsp. salt
    10 c. water
    apples
Preparation
    Blend sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and nutmeg and add salt and water.
    Cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
    Add lemon juice. Pack sliced apples in hot jars.
    Fill with syrup.
    Water bath quarts, 20 minutes or pressure cook 5 pounds for 10 minutes.
