Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    large green tomatoes
    2 beaten eggs
    1 c. homemade bread crumbs
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    These taste much like fried eggplant.
    Slice tomatoes 1/2-inch thick. Dry the slices. Dip in the eggs, then in bread crumbs. Salt and pepper.
    Fry in heavy skillet over moderate fire.
    They cook quickly.
