Easy Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices bacon
    1/2 c. chopped green onion
    1/4 c. white vinegar
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    6 medium potatoes (about 2 1/2 lb.), cut into 1/2-inch pieces
    1/2 head lettuce
    1 tomato, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
Preparation
    Cook bacon on High in microwave for 5 to 7 minutes until brown.
    Set aside to cool.
    Cook potatoes with 1/4 cup of water, covered, in microwave on High for 10 to 15 minutes or until tender.
    Mix together vinegar, sugar and salt; set aside.
    Put lettuce, tomato and onion in large salad bowl.
    Put in cooked potatoes.
    Heat vinegar, sugar, salt and 2 tablespoons of bacon grease in microwave until hot.
    Pour over salad; toss to coat. Crumple bacon on top.
    Serve.
    Makes 6 servings.
