Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. coarsely crumbled corn bread
    5 c. bread cubes
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. sage and poultry seasoning (season to taste)
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped onion
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Combine crumbled corn bread, bread cubes, pepper and sage. Put just enough shortening to lightly brown celery and onion.
    Add to bread mixture; add eggs and water, tossing lightly to combine (use 1/2 cup water for more moist).
    Stuff lightly into neck region and body of turkey.
    Roast according to turkey size.
    Bake any remaining dressing in uncovered dish during last 30 minutes of roasting.
