Great-Grandmother Edith Mcatee'S Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
    1 c. evaporated canned milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients, except vanilla.
    Stir constantly.
    Test with the soft ball in cold water method.
    When done, cool in pan in cold water.
    Add vanilla.
    Beat until firm.
    Pour onto a greased platter.
