German Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (4 to 5 lb.) cabbage
    1 large onion, sliced thin
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1 tsp. celery
    1 c. vinegar
    3/4 c. oil
Preparation
    Soak cabbage in cold water before shredding.
    Mix cabbage, onion slices and sugar in a large bowl.
    Mix salt, 2 teaspoons sugar, mustard and celery seed, vinegar and oil in saucepan.
    Boil for 3 minutes and pour over cabbage mixture.
    Cover and store overnight.
