Cream Cheese Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix without pudding
    1/2 c. butter, softened
    1 egg, beaten
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    2 eggs
    2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Combine first three ingredients in a large mixing bowl; mix well.
    Press mixture into a lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
    Beat cream cheese at medium speed with an electric mixer until fluffy; add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating well.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Pour mixture over first layer, spreading evenly.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
    Cool and cut into 1 1/2-inch squares.
    Yields about 4 dozen.
