Apple Dumpling Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. chopped apples
1 c. raisins
1 package Applesauce or spice cake mix
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. margarine, softened
1/3 c. dairy sour cream
3 eggs
2 c. water
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
whipped topping
Preparation

Grease bottom of 9 x 13 pan.
Spread apples and raisins evenly over bottom of pan.
In large bowl combine cake mix, 1/2 c. of water, margarine, sour cream and eggs at low speed until moistened. Beat 2 minutes at highest speed.
Spoon batter over fruit.
In small saucepan, heat 2 cups water and brown sugar to boiling.
Pour over batter.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Serve warm inverted with a dollop of cream topping.
To warm:
cover pan with foil and heat at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
