Open-Face Beef Sandwiches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices whole wheat bread
    8 to 10 oz. thinly sliced, cooked deli beef
    1/2 c. ketchup
    1 (4 oz.) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1/2 tsp. prepared mustard
    dash of chili powder
    dash of ground cloves
Preparation
    In toaster or under broiler, toast bread.
    Cut bread slices in half and arrange on microwave-safe roasting rack.
    Divide beef into 8 portion servings and layer beef on toast halves.
    Let stand while preparing sauce.
