Handy Oatmeal Cookie Mix - cooking recipe
Ingredients

7 c. sifted flour
3 1/2 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. salt
1/4 c. baking powder
1 lb. shortening not requiring refrigeration (2 1/2 c.)
1 (1 lb. 4 oz.) box quick cooking oats
Preparation

Sift flour, sugar, salt and baking powder together 3 times. Cut in shortening until mixture has consistency of corn meal.
Add rolled oats and mix well.
Store in a covered container at room temperature.
Makes about 22 cups.
