Pork Chops And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 lean pork chops
    1 1/2 c. rice (uncooked)
    1 can beef consomme
    1 can water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 large onion, sliced
Preparation
    Brown chops on both sides in electric skillet.
    Add consomme, water and rice.
    Season with salt and pepper; add onion slices. Bring to boil; reduce to simmer for about 45 minutes in electric skillet, or bake, covered, in oven at 400\u00b0.
    Add more water if it dries too quickly.
