Microwave Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
    1 c. roasted nuts (any kind of peanuts)
    1 tsp. butter or oleo
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Place sugar and syrup in 1-quart casserole and stir. Microwave on High 4 minutes.
    Stir in nuts.
    Microwave 3 to 5 minutes until light brown.
    Add butter and vanilla.
    Blend well. Microwave on High 1 to 2 minutes.
    Peanuts will become light brown and syrup very hot.
    Add baking soda.
    Gently stir until light and foamy.
    Quickly, pour into greased cookie sheet.
    Cool 1 hour. Break in pieces.
    Store in tight container.
