Cheddar Chicken Divan - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/4 c. flour
    2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of cayenne
    sliced almonds
    2 c. (8 oz.) shredded sharp natural Cheddar cheese
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli or asparagus spears
    3 lb. chicken breasts, cooked and sliced
Preparation
    Make a white sauce with the margarine, flour, milk and seasonings.
    Add 1 3/4 cups cheese; stir until melted.
    Arrange broccoli or asparagus and chicken in an 11 3/4 x 7 1/2-inch baking dish.
    Top with sauce.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes, or until hot.
    Sprinkle with remaining cheese and almonds.
    Serves 6 to 8.
