Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. stew beef
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 tsp. salt and pepper
    3 Tbsp. four
    1 c. water
    3 to 4 c. hot cooked noodles
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
Preparation
    Cut beef into bite size pieces.
    Flour and brown beef in hot oil a few pieces at a time.
    When all beef is browned, return beef to large Dutch oven or pan.
    Add onion, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
    Pour in 1 cup water.
    Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 20 minutes.
    To make additional gravy, make a paste of 2 tablespoons flour and water.
    Add 3/4 cup milk to paste.
    Stir and pour over beef, uncover and cook to desired consistency.
    Serve over hot noodles.
