Dog Team Sticky Buns - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. soft shortening
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. warm \"real\" mashed potatoes
    1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1 c. warm water
    1/2 c. cold water
    3 c. white flour (more or less)
    melted butter (as much or as little as you wish)
    2 tsp. cinnamon, mixed with 1 c. sugar
    1 c. maple syrup
    1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Mix together first 6 ingredients.
    Mix in 3 cups flour, plus or minus 1. Turn onto floured board and knead until smooth and elastic, adding more flour as needed.
    Place in refrigerator overnight.
    Roll out into rectangle and butter well with melted butter.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon/sugar.
    Roll into jelly roll. Slice into 1-inch thick pieces.
