Camp Corn Pone - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. yellow corn meal
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. finely chopped shallots
    1 tsp. Accent
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 c. warm milk
    1 beaten egg
    2 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    In
    a
    mixing
    bowl,
    combine first 5 ingredients.
    Add approximately 1 cup warm milk or enough to make mush, and stir well.
    Now,
    add egg and shortening.
    Mix and set aside for 30 minutes
    so that mixture reaches room temperature.\tThoroughly stir the mixture.
