Mock Watermelon Rind Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 gal. cucumbers
1 c. pickling lime
water
ice
5 lb. sugar
1 qt. plus 1 c. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. pickling spice

Preparation

Large overgrown cucumbers that are beginning to turn yellow are ideal for these pickles.
