Chicken Fried Round Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 to 2 lb. round steak (1/2-inch thick)
2 beaten eggs
2 Tbsp. milk
1 c. fine cracker crumbs
1/4 c. fat (shortening)
salt and pepper
Preparation

Cut steak into serving pieces.
Pound steak thoroughly or ask meat man to do it.
Mix eggs and milk.
Dip meat into egg mixture, then into cracker crumbs.
Brown slowly on both sides in hot oil. Season with salt and pepper.
Cover tightly.
Cook over very low heat for 45 to 60 minutes, or until tender.
Makes 6 servings.
