Homemade Fried Pies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans Texas biscuits
    1 pkg. dried apples or peaches
    1 c. sugar or sweetened to taste
    2 Tbsp. vanilla or cinnamon or both
    1/2 c. cooking oil
    flour to roll biscuits out
Preparation
    Cook fruit covered with water until very tender; drain well. Mix with sugar and flavoring.
    Mash fruit well.
    Flour aluminum foil well.
    Roll biscuits out thin into round circle.
    Put 2 tablespoons of fruit on one side of circle.
    Fold other side over fruit; press edges tightly with fork prongs.
    Place gently into pan of medium heated cooking oil.
    Brown and turn to other side and brown.
