Shortbread Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. margarine
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    4 tsp. milk
    2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Thoroughly cream the shortening, sugar and vanilla.
    Add egg; beat until light and fluffy.
    Stir in milk.
    Add dry ingredients; blend into creamed mixture.
    Divide dough in half; chill for 1 hour.
    On lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/8 to 1/4-inch thickness.
    Cut into desired shapes with cutters.
    Bake on greased cookie sheet at 375\u00b0 for about 6 to 8 minutes.
    Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet.
    Makes approximately 2 dozen.
